Five Part Five

A snapshot of the 'technicolour' 'Live Part Five' display from Dec. 29th., 2004, showing five signals and a variety of modulation schemes. Top to bottom: Around 781 is WD2XFX, Glenpool Oklahoma, using DFCW (Dual-Frequency CW) ; WD2XGJ, Massachussets, using QRSS CW (.v.e.r.y..s.l.o.w. CW); WD2XES, Massachussets, using 'Jason' . This is another creation of Alberto, I2PHD after an idea by Dave Brown; it decodes the sent sequence of different frequencies as unique alphanumeric characters. At '777' is 'NA', or VO1NA in Newfoundland, using . e . v . e . n . . s . l . o . w . e. r . CW; lastly, around 775.5 is Laurence WD2XDW using heaven-knows-what - apparently this is a visible aliasing artifact caused by the interference between the sampling-rate of the screen shots and a repetitively swept carrier. The aliens have landed, Igor . . .
