AV - 'BARTY'

Charmingly named 'BARTY', 'AV' (probably short for 'Avoca', a nearby town) is an outer-marker for the Scranton / Wilkes-Barre airport. Tucked away off a windy, hilly road (west side of the road about a mile south on Westminster Rd. from Rt.315 near Laflin), it is unsurprising it doesn't get out particularly well; it's surrounded by tall trees in a tiny clearing, and the phone-pole supported 'T' antenna is quite low at 20' or so.
