'SY' (official name 'KIRKI') is an outer-marker beacon for Syracuse Hanford Airport. Just to prove the point, as I was taking these pictures, no fewer than three commercial jets and a brace of F-15's flew *exactly* overhead on approach. It is just south of a crossroads almost due east of the airport. The NDB antenna is a centre-fed 'T' supported by a couple of fairly short(25' or so) 'phone poles, and is about 100' long.
